Since the waters I fish are almost always dark brown with piss poor visibility, sensitivity is key, so I built this setup to be very responsive. I needed something where I could really feel the bottom, especially as we approach autumn, where the leaves decay on the bottom, turning it softer and making it harder and harder to feel what’s going on.
I went for the Nays NXT Pro (7'4" / 3–15g) and paired it with a Shimano Complex 2500 XR F6 HG and Shimano Pitbull G5 in 10lb. Leader and end tackle wise, I’m going down to Varivas Absolute AAA Fluoro in 8lb and a 9kg Daiwa D-Snap. I’ll be getting some Gomexus bits and pieces for the reel at a later date.
The techniques are mostly soft plastic finesse rigs, Jika, Cheb, Tokyo, Carolina, Texas, and Neko. While using these techniques I'll also be able tell what kind of hits I’m getting, and I can make changes to my approach or technique based on that.
Currently got a broken wrist so I'm just waiting for that to heal up before getting out with it.
