Does he look like a king betta? At this point, I'm starting to think he is… Bought him when he was only about 7 weeks, now he's five months, which still seems like a pretty low age for his size. I have three other tanks running, and an aged but I unstocked 6 gallon long and a 20 gallon with stock (the flow is kinda high, so I don't really see it as a feasible option) I just wonder if he would fit better there. I worry because he has literally spent 90% of his life in this tank. Just looking for second opinions

he looks kind of … bored? does he explore around the tank, look at stuff, enjoy his day? I think he’d be happy in a larger tank, and he definitely appears to be a king betta.
Id like to think if he seems happy and comfortable, then he probably is! Its his safe space, so why change it?
That’s a big fish right there. Think an upgrade would do pretty well for him. I would usually say a 10 gallon would work out well, but of the two I would probably say 20 if you could lessen the flow a bit. On my 10 gallon I have a bit of filter media I cut up and put in the output, brought the flow down pretty well
Id say if he’s happy, eating and swimming around then it’s good- at least for now- but that’s a pretty sweet tank if I do say so myself lol. Can you send some pics of your other tanks? I just love looking at other ppls tanks 😝
