Yep, this is the most expensive fish I own. $63 for a single rice fish.

I order a school of 12 from Aquatic Arts. 3 were DOA (one rotted in half, I question if it was packaged up already dead). They refunded me the price of 1 fish because they said they shipped extra to cover losses. Over the next couple days, they dropped like flies (no I didn't add the dead-fish shipping water; yes I had a cycled sponge filter for my quarantine tank), this was the ONLY ONE that lived past three days (now a week since arrival).

Not ordering from them again.

Yeah, I have had similar issues with shipped animals.  They just go through a lot of stress and regardless what you do adding them to an established tank is a huge stress.  It is just a big negative to this hobby.  People want cool fish for a low price and that means a huge amount of death…

That’s a shame. I got a group of rainbowfish from them and the extra they packed survived. Guess it’s just hit or miss and maybe just depends who was working that day

    Sorry to hear.
I’ve ordered Medaka eggs before and got about 90% hatch rate

I have a $41 panda cory, myself. Ordered a 4pk, they changed the listing after I ordered and only sent 3. One was DOA, one didn’t survive the first night despite drip acclimating them for hours. Now I have one sad panda in with my emeralds. I’m not risking shipping again, and now I’m hunting for them in person, which is apparently impossible. There are only 2 options for fish within 100mi, so I either have to hope our local Petco restocks after not having any for 8mon or so, or manage to get to the LFS 50mi away on a Monday before they close and hope this is the week they got some in.

Weird I’ve ordered hundreds of fish for them and have had an occasional DOA but there is always an extra fish of each type so I’ve ended up with more than I ordered. They are literally the only place I get fish from
