I just passed this guy while getting a CO2 diffuser and it's literally the pretiest fish I've ever seen, the photo doesn't do him justice

  2. He’s either grizzled or marbled, genetically. Grizzled he will mostly look the same his whole life except get a little paler from the head down with age.

    Marbled, he may have drastic color changes over his lifetime, and that’s genetically normal, the gene randomly turns pigment layers off and on perpetually.

    He’s double tail, which is recessive, and an exceptionally nice one at that. Long straight spine, clean tail lobe division, well formed dorsal.

    Double tails are my favorite bettas, I’ve had many over my lifetime and even bred and showed them a while back.

    I would grab this DT male in a heartbeat if he were at my local fish store, he’s spectacular.
