I hope they both fit together well, i did do my research.
i mostly fish for pike in quite murky waters with 7cm+ lures, i chose this reel to last a long time and because of its strong drag. I dont know the exact specs of the rod yet tho. I chose it because im pretty sure it is strong enough to handle the reel, i chose the 2.21m (40-80g) version. The reel should be able to handle thick line which should allow me to use the same line for much longer than usual.
I dont have the money to buy the reel and rod yet but im hoping to save up enough soon, which should be in around 2 months. Fishing season might already be over, or close to over.
Is this a good combo? If i should change anything, or you have questions about anything, please list it below.

Grade A reel that is standard amongst many anglers chasing large fish. Rod I am not so sure about. Unfortunate you won’t be able to afford it in time. Rods have a lure weight rating which matters more than the length of your lures. That should give you a better idea. A reel that big you want a heavy rating rod I imagine. You could always get a cheaper LP baitcaster combo depending on the pike you fish for. the LP predator abu is a good LP baitcaster for pike as well. Also you can fish pike all the way until ice over most places
