I got a snail (Randy) and 1 ghost shrimp (Mikey) today. I put them in the tank with my betta (Conny). Conny took well to them in the bag but has been acting strange since i released them.

Conny has been hiding by the top of the filter and flaring her gills (I’m not sure Conny’s gender). She does like to hide near the bottom of the filter or in this barrel decoration that’s in her tank so it’s a bit unlike her.

She has been recently going out from the filter to explore around with her new tank mates she’s been curious of. She has kinda been on Mikey’s tail end but hasn’t done anything serious to him yet.

She on the other hand got curious of Randy and did snap and bite him once. She has since been going around him and staring (without flaring up) but I’m unsure if it’s okay to keep her around Randy or Mikey. Or do I just let it be for a bit longer?

I just do not want to put the safety and wellbeing of all 3 fish, snail and shrimp at risk if that’s the case

Im not an expert. But for what i see (not sure the snail specie) i ask for one similar tonout with my betta, the guy in the shop say this snail need cooler whater than the betta.

I have neritinas natalensis, snails, with my betta too.

(You coud see over the temple. They are a team of 3 snails)

Also srimps. Allso as Big as possible, but this betta its not too much agressive.

More natural plants and paths to go and enterrained are, more gonna give importante about share home with other animals.

(Im not an expert but its my experience?
