I was planning to go with a popper in the early morning and then switch to a texas rig worm. Thoughts?

That’s exactly what I would do. I’d probably bring a dark (black/blue) chatterbait too if they weren’t feeling the popper.

Drag a jig all over that water. If nothing bites I’d convince myself there are no fish in there and go home.

Craw bait or creature. Pitch at edges and drag through grass, while letting it sink each time. I guarantee you will hook up.

First I’d crack a beer. Then I’d fumble around my tackle box looking for something to skip cast up by the bank. After I find something suitable I’d crack another beer. Before I get my rig set up I’d change my mind and try a chatterbait. Cast it a few times. Consider that failure. Crack another beer. It’s getting later. Put a frog on and toss it near the bank. Get a text from my wife asking where I am. Pack up and leave.

  5. Early morning or late evening I’m doing top water: Frog, whopper plopper, buzz bait or popper. Then I’d switch to a white spinnerbait with a gold blade. Then a texas rig craw/worm or a wacky.

  6. Fishing poles and a couple limb lines. But that’s because I’m not good at bass fishing.

  7. I’m flipping a big jig (black and blue, something dark), or a Texas rigged creature bait. Assuming it’s deep enough for bass / bass are in that body of water.

  8. Whop plop that thing then have a spinning rod set up with a beetle spin. Nothing on the plop then jd throw a beetle speed. Nothing on the beetle then I’d throw a hotdog on a cat rod and sit there the rest of the night.

I would begin with a 1/4oz bullet weight Texas rig rage craw. Drag it around to get a sense of the possible structure i cant see. Once I have figured out the bottom composition now I can begin to work with moving baits with more confidence of what I might run into.

  10. I’m not much of a senko person, but a senko just sounds right for that place
