I have had my 5 gallon tank since December 2025 and it has been great so far but now iv noticed my betta has slowed down and is sluggish almost dead like. I’m very worried, hes usually very active. Iv been preforming water changes on it every month to keep it clean and I just did a 30% water change today. Please if you have any tips or suggestions what to do please let me know!

i don’t own betta but i’ve read that adding indian almond leaf tea leaves are very beneficial to the betta as it replicates their natural environment. maybe you would want to look into that.
What are your water parameters (ammonia, nitrite, nitrates)? You need those to know if something with the water quality is causing this. If you don’t have a test kit, buy a liquid api master kit (way more accurate than test strips and will last you much longer).
