Hello everyone, after about 6 years without an aquarium i have decided its time to get back into the hobby.

This time i will build everything myself and got into the process of designing everything to fit my space.

So far this is what i have come up with. The design is in 1:1 scale and all parts are designed by me. Supporting parts (Led bracket, lid support brackets) are made for 3d printing. Bottom piece is designed for 3d printing as well but has to be printed from a pro 3d printing business due to its size.

The tank itself and the table will be made by me. I have included a side basket to place the filter and 2 selves to organise everything.

What do you think and what else would you like your setup to have.

Tank external dimensions are L86xW42xH45 in cm with 6mm glass panels (maybe 7mm will decide on that later)

  1. That’s quite incredible, I wanted to do the same kind of design but I’m lacking blender/CAD skills lol.

Anyway, I would say, think about cable management too, don’t forget there might be some cable/pipe running around this setup so it would be nice to think about some ways to hide them.

I’m no expert but 6mm seems short to me, I have 6mm on my 60x30x35 so I would believe 7mm to be safer for a bigger aquarium.
