That is one way. That’s usually the way you rig it on a jig head or for a dropshot. The minnow head should be covering the top of the hook though. You can also rid these weedless in the typical Texas Rig style.

I have no doubt you’d catch fish this way, but I’d use an EWG and rig it like a Texas rig worm, either weightless or with a belly weight.
