I’ve been looking at all the different options I have for a budget of up to $1,500 and I just can’t decide what to do.

My two biggest issues are transportation and maneuvering on the water. I don’t have a truck so I’ve been looking at deals on marketplace that come with a trailer but of course the kayaks aren’t great.

I’ve been looking at peddle drives within my budget and they look decent but I’m back to transportation.

Now, I can borrow a truck to go pick one up but I don’t know which one to pick. In comes this one. It seems like a good start, I just need to figure out the transportation issue.

I’d offer them 700 bucks and if they say no I’d have no hard feelings because at 1150 it’s not worth it. It’s a decent beginner kayak but nothing to write home about. You can find a lot better for 1000-1500.

Car top a paddle kayak. You can get a nice paddle kayak within your budget. This thing is a heavy barge with a trolling motor. I’m my opinion you’d be a lot better off with a quality paddle craft and upgrading as you go, a trolling motor is…ok, especially the entry level options.

It’s a great kayak. But you are definitely not paddling this thing far. It’s a barge. You can forget it if there is a head wind or strong current better keep that trolling motor on it. But it is very stable and a great fishing kayak. Plenty of room. Fabulous seat!!

I bought my catch pwr 100 for $900. Its a good kayak for the price. It’s not good for standing, paddling or in the wind and the hull is thin.. If you can get around those issues its worth the price.
