I was taking a stroll at the Forks in Winnipeg, Manitoba and saw that the point the Assiniboine river meets the Red River is very fast moving waters and very turbulent. I'm very curious to try fishing these waters for some fish, probably going to be catfish, drum, hopefully sturgeon.
I think what I would try is a pickerel rig, a classic here locally, maybe a carolina rig. And maybe some time spent throwing a lure.
Any tips? Is this something you have fished before?
