Hello everyone, about 3 months ago I got my first aqaurium the past couples weeks I’ve noticed the tank has gotten cloudier progressively and now it’s turning green, assuming this being an algae bloom what is the best course of action to take, only keep the light on for 8 hours a day all tests have been good and haven’t had any issues with fish dying

Or does this look more like a bacterial bloom? New to this so whatever feed back I can get would be awesome

    looks like algae.

but i would take a glass of water and take some out. maybe it’s not the water but just the glass. then you can scratch it off. else water change.

if you want to get rid of it completely, black it out for some days and add more plants. and later on light not as long

snails and shrimp can also help you to keep it in check to some degree

This looks like algae to me. Something that could be contributing is excess waste/food. Maybe try cutting down on that light a little more, and try cutting back on your feeding. Give your gravel a good vacuum too!
