I got a rescue betta from Facebook. Had nothing in the tank, the fish is very underweight and has a crooked spine. It’s a 10 gallon, heated 79F, only hides are driftwood and some random pieces of dragon stone I have around. To compensate I have stuffed it with tannins until my next paycheck (Friday). Should I just break bank now and go out and get plants or is this okay for about a week? I feel terrible I have no hides or plants

He should be fine until then. If you’re really, REALLY worried about him, you can probably just do a water change sometime, but he’ll be fine.

Did you make sure the dragonstone has no sharp edges? For a weakened betta small injuries can become more than probematic. That’s my only concern. ^^’
