Raising a Grocery Store Lobster as a Pet

this is mji my pet Lobster that I rescued from the grocery store but we’re not eating her for dinner instead we’re trying to save her and keep her as a pet and today we’re building her a massive saltwater tank with an underwater bunker a couple of months ago I rescued my crab Noodle from the grocery store and I’m happy to report that noodle is doing great but so many of you wanted me to save a lobster I’m not kidding these comments literally go on forever so I’m back here to find one and take it home over 5 billion lbs of seafood is sold per year in the United States but today that number goes down by one hello Moji welcome to the crew Moji was the smallest Lobster they had she weighed just over a pound and cost me $11 thank you now we need to rush to get her home we’re coming Moi I just hope we’re not too late to save her back at the studio we’re getting Mochi settled into a quarantine tank but I started to worry because Mochi wasn’t really moving so let’s cut these rubber bands off her claws these were placed here to stop Mochi from pinching people over the next hour I slowly added water to mochi’s tank but she still didn’t move I don’t know if she’s going to make it meanwhile I sent Adam to New England to learn everything about saving lobsters welcome to the Lobster capital of the world today we’re going on a lobster trapping boat good morning I’m captain gym and we’re going to head out and find some lobsters hopefully we catch our real lobster so here’s the game plan to save Mochi first we’ll move Mochi to an emergency hospital tank next we’ll feed her so she gets super strong and finally we’ll build her dream underground bunker and I have a challenge for you can you spot these lobsters hidden somewhere in this video we’re setting up a cycled Hospital tank for mji and since lobsters to dig we’re adding a thick layer of sand and a cave too I think this will be a huge upgrade from the grocery store Mochi is a saltwater Lobster so we need to add Marine salt to water to make the perfect environment for her but this will all have been for nothing if Mochi doesn’t get better but then mochi’s whiskers started moving and then her legs did too until finally she was ready for her Hospital tank but when I put her in she went straight into a corner don’t worry Moji we’re not going to eat you I’m going to turn the light off so she can relax meanwhile Adam was facing his own problems I feel so sick so I took a quick nap Captain Jim prepared our traps with b and a friend wished us good luck Moji probably hasn’t eaten in weeks but she really didn’t seem interested wow her claws Are Back In Action what a few moments later she pushed the shrimp away this is a really bad sign so let’s give her some space and check on Minnie my tiny blue lobster Minnie and Moji are different types of lobsters but they do share common lobstery traits like tough shells and snappy Pinsir Minnie has a bright blue shell and is Super Active so I know I can’t give up on emoji Let’s cross our claws for a quick recovery back at C Adam was reeling in his first track where I going to go a lobster or a boot this trap was 50 ft deep on the sea Flor we going on healthy lobsters have strong Claws and are great swimmers these guys are too small they have to go back here but then we hit the jackpot no way it’s huge I can’t find Mochi anywhere until I looked closer and I realized that Moji had made a home in the cave she spent hours rearranging the sand and getting comfortable and after a week without eating she’s eating don’t Moi Moji was no longer a grocery store Lobster she was a curious little Explorer but she’s quickly outgrowing this tank get down get down we’re going to need a huge saltwater setup but those can get expensive hey I’m looking for a tin for a lobster yes a lobster meanwhile Adam finally had some success ah there we go than this Lobster has 100,000 eggs she’s a breeding Lobster and will hatch millions of babies so we need to put her back in the ocean bye buddy I found a tank secondhand and it’s so big we needed a trop let’s go thankfully I do anything for mji we’re here let’s go get the tank this thing is massive when it’s full of water it’ll weigh more than a horse the tank looks great but the stand is falling apart I hope we didn’t get scammed thankfully Adam is building us a new stand while we drive home are you ready to see Mochi stand it looks awesome but where’s the paint yep that’s your job first we’ll paint our stand and then we’ll test our tank release and we’ll I’m painting I want to tell you about to build mochi’s bunker but the next day Mochi took a turn for the worst she hasn’t eaten in two full days we need to get her to a doctor I’ve taken my axotal Kirby to the vet so I know this might be possible but we need a way to get her there safely and lobsters are sensitive so this is going to be tricky so I’m making a DIY Lobster carrier or as I like to call it a lobster limo I just hope the vet can help Moji this is Dr NX she’s been helping animals for over 6 years you just adorable my gosh Dr Nick said that the elastic fanss on mochi’s claws made them numb kind of like when your arm falls asleep Mochi got an x-ray and has no signs of internal damage but the vet said we need to hurry and build our new home while mochi’s at the vet we’re getting supplies we need a lot of rocks for mochi’s Bunker like a lot and because Mochi isn’t eating we’re getting a favorite snack lobsters are omnivores so mochi’s going to love these time to get to work but on our way home we saw mochi’s restaurant oh Red Lobster and we just had to go in and check it out but everything reminded me of Mochi so we ordered the vegan Lobster instead and it was pretty good it’s time to set up mochi’s engine since Moji loved the sand in her Hospital tank I’m adding heaps of it to her new home the crew smashed it these rocks are perfect for mochi’s Bunker soon she’ll be able to relax inside of here and we can’t forget a few decorations for her to move around and this rare macroy to help filter the water now we just need to fill it up I also got Mochi a special Chiller to keep her tank ice cold
