Did she tow you away from those bridge pilings? BD’s are a great fight. One of my favorite days on the water in the past few years was when I was completely by myself out in a secluded part of the river, surrounded by hundreds and hundreds of them, I could hear them drumming all around me in probably 3ft of water. Needless to say, at the end of the day my ass was kicked.
I dont understand folks swinging rod to other side of kayak.
Keep my rod pointed about 15-20 degrees out from the bow – Kayak swings whatever way the fish swims.
