
Im new to fishing and lost two pikes the first one the line snapped and I was in such a bad mood I asked reddit for advice and went out again today earlier in the day one of my hooks snapped and I lost another and then as I was feeling low I cast in ready

That’s why it’s called fishing not catching… nice fish , first of many I hope !!! Every time you tell the story you have to add a pound, and an inch.
If you’re going to use the classic photo trick of pushing a fish forwards to make it look better, you need to bow your arms out instead of in. It looks more natural that way.
I’ve been fishing for 27 years, my whole life pretty much.
I moved 1500 miles and had a baaaaaaaaaad skunk that lasted 15 outings. A few bites maybe, no fish. Very discouraging, but there’s only one way to get back on them, and thats to get a line in the water. Nobody can tell you for sure if you’ll catch them but not going at all is a sure way to get none.
