A frog will survive the lily pads. I’d definitely try a bobber and night crawler past all the cover if you can manage it. Would be interesting to see what is in there.

I see that and all I can think is to pick up my big flippin stick and punch through those pads with a heavy bullet weight and my favourite creature bait ! Tightlines !
