That is not wood, that is veneer. But 15kg should be able to hold, for further stability place a rod or beam in the level below

Looks like IKEA Kallax. I would not trust this because the shelf is hold by few wooden “screws”. Plus it’s not wooden, it’s some kind of veneer or plywood, so it bends and if you spill just a bit of water it bloats. I had a 5kg terrarium on this shelf and it bent pretty quickly.

I would cut 2 pieces of 1×4, paint flat black or whatever color closely matches and scew them under the side ends of the shelf. Home depot should have pieces they will cut for you. For added strength, you can screw another 1×4 across the underside of the shelf left to right. 4 gallons is about 32 pounds. It may be more depending on gravel, decorations, and equipment. Just a reminder… if this is your first aquarium, go to youtube and learn about the nitrogen cycle of an aquarium.

IKEA Kallax is basically cardboard. I’d not trust it.
Also, how do you plan to do maintenance?
It looks like the aquarium would fit in perfectly, without leaving any space to stick your hand in it.
