I have a 8 gallon aquarium. I tested it and the water is in good condition. CO2 is kind of low but not harmful for the fish as I was told.
I need to do a water change but I am confused by all the different opinions… should I use tap water and add soms water conditioner and bacteria to it? Or should I use osmose water? Or can I use distilled water? And do I need to add conditioner to that as well? And is 20% new water enough? I hope you can help me 😊🌸🐟🐠 thank you in advance😊

1. How old is your tank and how is it cycled?
2. Depends on your tap water, I would suggest you take your tap water, put conditioner in and test it. If it is fine, use it
3. If your tank is properly cycled you won’t need to add bacteria, as long as YOU DO NOT TOUCH THE FILTER! (Don’t wash the filter, and only if needed rinse in old tank water)
4. 20% is perfect
If you keep them in tap water, then you can add the tap water directly and use conditioner afterwards unless you have really bad water quality at your place.
