Yes ..thats an easy repair to someone who knows what to do . As regards if it is worth it then that will depend on how much you value the rod and only you can decide . You need to get a quote and make that decision yourself .

  2. This rod is two years old. It retails for about $400. It has been fished hard for two years inshore Florida east coast. The manufacturer is sending me another for no charge, and doesn’t want this one back or destroyed or anything. Actually, they don’t really seem to want to talk about it, they just thanked me for my support and are sending me another when they get them back in stock.

Here are the specs of the rod…
Hybrid 51 Million Modulus: 100% Toray Carbon Fiber Construction
    Length: 7’6″ Spinning
    Weight: 5.2oz
    Power/Action: Medium/Fast
    Line Rating: 8-15lb.
    Lure Rating: 1/8oz-1/2oz
Butt Length: 8.5″ from bottom of reel seat to butt cap
    High Grade Cork Grip
Tangle Free CRB LZR Guides w/ 316 Stainless Steel Frames
Fuji TVS Reel Seat w/ Back Stop Locking Nut
Unique Hook Keeper (Works Well with Weedless Lures)

It also has 11 guides and all are rusting, most less, this is the worst one.

It lives in my Gheenoe horizontal holders, in my garage, along with a St. Croix Legend Tournament and a Bull Bay Sniper, both of which are showing zero corrosion.
