I don’t know much about the different coloration in bettas, but after 2 years out of the hobby I’m happy to be back. I think his little spots are so neat, and he gets more and more blue everyday I can barely see any yellow anymore! I forgot how much fun it was cycling and starting a tank again.

Don’t put eyes on him like that 🤣 I don’t know betta types well, but he looks most like a half moon mustard gas betta to me!

My mustard gas boy started off with a bluish body and pale yellow fins. Now his body is a deep blue with a black head, and his fins are glorious: waves of yellow, bright copper, and aqua blue.
