I hope this doesn't violate rule 6. My grandfather has this fish fossil that was found on the gulf coast in Florida.I don't know where else to ask if anyone can identify the species.

That’s not a fossil, that’s the tooth plate of a drum. You should be able to find hundreds of pictures searching along the lines of “drum tooth plate” or “drum pharyngeal plate”
