Wasn’t sure if this should be marked NSFW so I did just in case.
I just got home from work and was making my usual rounds to check on all my pets when I noticed this. Do I just leave them be? Should I separate them from the rest of the tank?? Is it just survival of the fittest at this point??? Please help

it looks like they are trying to eat a big long root or something, i would try to grab it out i hope they are ok!!!!

I’m also just here to comment, *WTF*

If it is a parasite, maybe quarantine tank and try some treatments (?) I have no idea though 🙁

  4. Mine did that from eating a floating plant root. They’re dumb little creatures. It’ll pass through, if not it’ll die and other fishes eat it. win-win.

  5. If i could do it safely, i would net him and cut off the excess coming out of his mouth so he’s not forced to keep eating the whole thing. It might pass more quickly and safely.

  6. This is why I started cutting up blood/black worms. The little idiots will try and sometimes they either won’t or can’t spit a whole one out.
