Caught this little guy last night and knew it wasn’t a largemouth like I usually catch.

Smallmouth do not live in Florida. Also try to hold the fish more vertically so the bottom lip doesn’t break.

I’m not too familiar with bass variants in the south so I could be dead wrong but, if I caught that here in the Midwest I would assume it’s a spotted bass.
