I’ve always used a fly patch on my vest but this looks more convenient…

It sucks but tight skin and a hard yank will make it work. I once caught the top of my head through my hat like this. Also remember head wounds bleed a lot.

First time I ever attempted to fly fish, I hooked myself in the shoulder. Can’t imagine what it’s like in the face.

Luckily the biggest I throw is probably a size 10. That size gotta hurt like a MF.

This, specifically, is why I crush my barbs. Staying legal is all well and good, but the ease of removal is worth the risk of losing a fish
