I would choose a moderate or mod fast actioned rod over a fast action and I don’t know what gear ratio you’ve chosen but a slow gear ratio reel would be best.

Unless there’s a line of cranking mojos the rod could be a bit fast. Personally, if I wanted a cranking rod I’d get something with moderate action.

Are you opposed to a casting set up, there are more glass rods out there in casting

I prefer bait casters for crank bait set ups. Use spinning reels for finesse fishing
