He’s in a 10 gallon tank with 6 guppies. ~15% water change every week. He used to be energetic but for the last month he’s been resting straight up and down like this in 1 corner. Every once in awhile he’ll move to the other side of the tank and rest but I’m just so lost in what’s wrong with him. I’ve never had this problem. He has baby guppies to chase around, hiding spots, resting spots, healthy food, water parameters are all good, heavy planted. UGH! He’s never built a bubble nest.

Some bettas just get sick despite how good their care is. Could it be swim bladder? Or maybe too much light?
Post parameters and we may be able to help with more detailed answers. Betta fish do not have the mental capacity to get depressed, I would be more concerned about a physical illness.
Hes likely hiding maybe stressed? from fish? I don’t keep bettas with other fish. I also never do more 8 hours light they prefer darker. I would feed frozen ditch pellets and Betta Bug Bites, maybe swim bladder what u been feeding? You may have fast. Go to FB group Betta Fishcare 101 they are best I’ve seen experts run. I would take our more water weekly also. What are your parameters, do you have API Master test kit? What you keep temp at?
You need watch for swimbladder also if struggling swimming etc then need fast. Go to that group bc they should help.
How old is he? He looks pale and faded in color and skinny. My older bettas looked like this for a couple months before passing away from old age
Guppies look too similar to be kept with bettas so the stress could be lowering his immune system and making him sick. That along with the light levels. I only keep my light on for 6 hours a day, just enough for the plants. I would also check you dont have too much water flow as well as that could make it more difficult for him to swim around.
