Did I need half this stuff? Absolutely not. For context ever since graduating from Pharmacy school, completing my residency, and working my first job, I haven’t really spent much on myself (I’m not counting my loans as spending money on myself). With Spring coming up I thought it would be a good time to start. It’ll be almost a year coming up in March when I (25 M) picked up fishing. Since then I’ve decided this is going to be my life long obsession. Bought a couple of cheap spare rods just in case I had some family or friends who wanted to join me. Most of the lures were half off the green sticker price too. Half this stuff is also being gifted to my sister’s fiancé for his birthday so don’t worry it’s not all for me.

Dude you did great. I’m also around your age, and did not pick it up until around 3 years ago myself after a friend introduced me to it after a hard breakup. Fell in love right then and there when my little popper was catching bass or a summer evening. I’m glad to see you have also come around to it as I did, you have made the right choice. Does not matter the price or time you put into it, because the return is always priceless and timeless. Tight lines man
