Trying to get rid of Diatoms in an established Soulosi tank. Recently added rocks to give more hiding places in hopes of breeding and now I cant scrape the glass on the back and on the side. Any suggestions? They've killed any snails I've tried to add in.

Diamtoms happen because light duration too long and less plant to absorb the nutrient. You can either reduce the duration of your light (must be pitch black not even ambient light) or put plenty of terrastrial plant to absorb those nutrient like pothos, monstera or burle marx. As aquatic plant will be eaten or uproot by cichlid.
I had a common pleco handle this for me, on the stones they cant really get all of it but for the glass, they do a good job. Since i removed him, the brown algae started to take over the aquarium again. I use a common pleco, but im pretty sure other plecos such as l144 would do a pretty good job, the only issue with common pleco is that they grow big and produce quite a lot of waste from my experience. Plants like java fern would help too but not by a lot, u can add pothos to the top of your tank or sump, and they will help with absorbing the fish waste
Start meditating. They die at ohms.
