We bought a reticulated hillstream roach for our aquarium with shrimp and otocinclus. It had only been 3 days, when we found Mr. Pancake lifeless on the bottom of the tank. He already had this white spot when we bought him, and I don't see it in any other pictures of loaches. Could that be the cause or is it more likely something aquarium related?

First off, props for the NSFW tag, and then the warning in the first picture as well.
If you’ve only had him three days, it’s possible he was already sick. I really feel like it takes a few weeks to see if a fish is going to survive. I have no idea about the white spot, hopefully someone else can give you some info.
What temperature you keep the tank at? These guys usually don’t do well in temps over 74 degrees
