Very nice size GT came up and annihilated my popper a couple hundred yards from shore. Took off like a rocket ship and almost spooled me on the first run. After a few minutes of fighting the line went limp and I reel in to find a bent hook.

I have no idea what a GT is, but this is why I use heavy salmon irons when salmon fishing.
At least you know your knots are well done!!
