This is my first aquarium and I've already made some mistakes along the way, it's fully cycled and I just went out today to grab a mass of plant cultures as I only had some java fern & anubius.
The tank is 23 Gallons and only has 4 guppies in it, I just wanted to know if anyone thinks this might be too many plants for adequate growth or if I'm completely overthinking it?
(The tank was skimmed immediately after taking these I promise)

Not enough plants imo! But then again I like my tanks to be jungles. You can never have too many plants
It really depends on what look you prefer. In general the more plants you have the more stable your system will run. After that it’s basically just a question of how willing you are to perform regular trimming and keeping everything tidy. Me personally I love it. I put my headphones on and trim plants for hours to keep them healthy.
