Cant really tell what’s causing your spool not to rotate. Is your star drag really loose?

Is the spool spinning and the braid is loose? Often use electrical tape to secure line to spool

Hrmmm, ive only encountered that issue when either the star drag is too loose or the spool release button is stuck midway in activation

Looks like your drag is really loose because you can pull the line out with little effort without having to engage the thumb bar. Tighten the star drag a bit and see where that goes. If it still does this, you may need to re spool your line tighter or use mono on the spool before you start your braided line.
