I’m wanting to build a musky setup and not spend a ton of money, and have been eyeballing these two. have any of you guys used either of these? If so, thoughts and opinions? I’m thinking about putting a Piscifun Alijoz 300 on it, and I’m just looking for some opinions on that potential setup. Thank you!

i have not owned, but i have spent a fair amount of time looking at these rods in store for a friend of mine. (is this you Brian? ) he wants to throw 2-6 oz swimbaits but isn’t certain he *wants* to throw them enough to buy expensive gear. of the two listed, i would choose the first rod. it has better…. everything. my friend went with the $99 [daiwa dx](https://www.basspro.com/p/daiwa-dx-swimbait-casting-rod?searchTerm=daiwa%20dx) from bass pro instead and has been happily wacking pike and smallies with it and a shimano cardiff 301
