i see all these betas fins looking glossy and silky, his look very ugly compared to them, he was flaring in this but when he’s not they are very clumped together instead of being shown off

Flaring from what I was told is a sign of fighting. You don’t want them to do that all the time as it causes stress to the fish. I also thought they needed to be flared all the time to be healthy but thanks to the sub they described why they did it and why it was bad. I’ll try digging it my old post

I think he looks beautiful and healthy. I don’t see what the problem is.
