Hopefully gonna be a new betta owner in a few months (probably around August) so I’m just trying to do my research and figure out what I’ll need. On this sub I’ve seen that 5 gallons is the minimum and a long tank is better than a taller one, so these are what I’ve found so far. I know the first one is pretty cheap, I’m willing to spend more, I just wasn’t sure if there’s any significant difference between the first and second tanks I’ve attached here? Are either of them good enough quality? If not, can anyone recommend a good tank to buy? I’m looking for a 5-6 gallon tank just because of space limitations, but if my fish isn’t happy with it I’ll upgrade to a bigger one.
Thanks in advance!

  1. Get the aqueon and save money. Theres nothing different between the two lol. Id personally keep a betta in a 10 gal especially if you plan on keeping other fish as well. But if hes alone a 5.5 should be fine!

I suggest getting an 8 or 10 gallon (if you can) if not the 5.5 gallon ones you have should work nicely! Be sure to get lots and lots of leafy plants real ones are better if you can, if not use silk leaf plants, as the plastic ones can cut up their fins or they can get stuck in them and that always sucks. Anyways, 5 gallons is the minimum which means you’ll be alright just keep an eye on the parameters closely! And remember, Lotsa plants make betta fish happy lol

either is fine but I’d get the aqueon and spend the money on plants lol. I have one of their tanks and no issues
