I caught so many bass today on this setup, last gen GLX 843c MBR with a bantam MGL and 12lb fluoro throwing a 3/8 GP swimjig with a rage craw trailer. MBR has a fast tip under light load and goes deep into the blank as you push into the backbone making it very moderate, amazing jig or reactoin bait rod.

The MBR taper is what put Gary Loomis on the bass fishing map. The rod designs he left are a lot more hit and miss, but the MBR-843 is quite possibly the best bass fishing of all time.
I had to return my GLX casting rod because of the forward position of the trigger on the rod. I palm my reels and it was too far forward making it really uncomfortable to palm the reel. Strange that the IMX Pro MBR that I have doesn’t have the same issue. I do really like the MBR action though.
