Hey all! First of all, I really want to thank everyone for all the comments and advice on my previous post. I thought I'd post an update for those wondering what happened to all the fishies.
I called a different aquarium and they said they would take the fishies in. So we packed up and went over to drop them off.
It turns out the main guy there is an actual marine biologist with 20+ years of experience working in aquariums and we spent 2 hours chatting with him and he definitely agreed with everyone's comments that the fishies were going to struggle big time (specially the Pleco) in the 5 gallon tank and after chatting for a bit longer, he offered us a much bigger high quality tank at a discount and will personally come to our house to set up the tank, bring cycled water, and make sure that the goldfish + snails (no pleco 🙁 could live happily and comfortably.
The fishies will spend the night at the store on the goldfish tank (not the one in the photo, thats where they placed them as soon as we came in) and they will bring them back tomorrow. They also have a tank cleaning and maintenance service so they will come around every month and make sure that everything is flowing properly.
And now that we had an empty 5 gall tank we got a nice Betta called Lemon.
Yay!
Thanks again for everyone's help!

Sounds great im glad you could get the help you needed. I hope hes bringing you cycled media and not cycled water, the water holds little to no actual beneficial bacteria. The media in filters or substrate hold alot of the bacteria. Unless he brings you a baggie of a ringed out sponge filter/media and its all gunky and gross, thats the stuff you want to kick start a cycle. I would take it slow until its fully cycled, dont feed every day etc slow and steady will be the best.
