I really wanted to show this to someone who can hopefully appreciate it much as I do. I want to mention I’m not a bragging parent, this is my first post ever anywhere mentioning having a kid, and I’m not much for false praises . But I really couldn’t be more impressed with my 14 y/o sons first fly . Hes never even so much as seen a vice until yesterday, i keep my tying stuff in my own area away from prying eyes . I made a portable table yesterday set it up in garage . i tied 1 to show him what to do. And give him the ropes . And this is how it turned out . A+ I just wanted to give him respect ✊ . Wonder what y’all think about it .

that’s sick man i’m 15 and want to tie some flys but don’t want to pay for the equipment at first so i’ll just lolygag on here and wish i was him. tight lines!

Very nice!! Proud of your son too, lol. I’ve been tying flies for a couple years now, only question I have is, why so big? Challenge him to make the same pattern w smaller and smaller hooks! (Also don’t have any info on what you’re fishing for, etc.) but hell yeah!!!!!
