I’ve been fishing bass in the Erie Canal in upstate New York and had a little luck with a too water whopper plopper but then nothing I was told to try some crank or jerk bait how did I do on choosing?

Look good.
Just reel slow if you want em at top of water column ….you may already know this but it says on the package of those lures how deep they can go (depending on reel speed)….
I like “bomber” brand (“foxy shad” color) crankbaits the most personally but those in the pic are fine!
Good to have a few different colors/patterns.
I’d buy a couple top water frogs if I were you!
Good luck!

The bass in my local hole love that middle one.

I actually just got my first couple fish on a whopper plopper yesterday. Ended up the trick was to use it right at dusk on perfectly calm water

Those will catch fish, I’m a bit confused on what you mean by “will these work with my top water” though.
