Yep, ditch the swivel and tie the jig head directly using a loop knot

I almost only use snap swivels when using larger reaction baits. For a small curly tail grub like this the snap swivel with kill some of its action and look weird. Tie it straight to your leader with any knot you like. A loop knot like others mentioned gives it the most action
