Betta Fish: I’ve had my fish for almost a week and he’s lost a lot of color and isn’t swimming as much..the water seems to be fine what could be the problem??

How long has the tank been set up? What are your water parameters? Do you have a heater?

Couple of things: how long has your tank been set up? The water in the first pic looks cloudy. This could be indicative of a bacteria bloom, meaning your tank may not be fully cycled.

How much have you been feeding him? He does look a little bloated in the second pic.

Do you have a water test kit? You can either get the API Test kit (better quality, more accurate) or strips. If you can get these, check your params and post them.
