Im new to aquarium and got my very first betta about 2 weeks now. I have a couple of those tiny tiny shrimps and noticed that some of my aqua plants came with snails. Brushed it off as one of the cleaning crews but I just notices these clumps of eggs and I tried to look it up only to find out they’re snails.

Do I want to keep them?

  1. They are snail eggs. Not a worry.
Snails are a good indicator of overfeeding.
So if the population explodes, you are over feeding the tank.
There aren’t many good ways to get rid of them but they will grow on your over time.

  2. Snails can genuinely become infestations if the population is allowed to multiply too much. If you don’t want that, euthanize the egg sacs, but if you’re okay with more snails up to a limit, let the first generation hatch and if they’re too much an assassin snail or four will keep them under control.
