im 21m and i havent had a betta fish in like over 10 years. i think he's a boy. he has lots of energy; he moves and hides around in his little tank. i bought him at petco for 15 dollars (pretty pricey if u ask me). they told me not to buy him a heater or a water filter, they said he was good enough without one because theyre from still waters. i told the lady at petco that people online disagreed and she didnt care lol.
i got him like 30 minutes ago and so far he has eaten his food + made lots of bubbles in the walls of his tank. i really like his colors, his fins are transparent but i love the blue colors on them. i like specially his energy, most betta fish at pet stores look effed up and like theyre done with life but not this one.
how old could he be ? he's neither big nor small.

Do u have a api water test kit, have u checked the water in ur tank and make sure it’s all good? Also u def need a heater and filter… if you don’t have one already
