5 gal tank, has 1 betta, 1 nerite, 1 ramshorn, 5 cherry shrimp. A shit ton of plants too. I have absolutely zero clue what caused my tank to crash like this!! I did add brand new root tabs (fzone) and a decent bit of small catappa clippings recently, but I wouldn't expect those to cause a crash?
What do I even do next to fix this? I did a 50% water change just now, and added some nitrifying starter, as well as water conditioner obviously. Is there anything else I can do??
Also, my Betta seems 100% fine somehow, no clue how he's fine but hes active, not gasping etc. I tested because I saw some bubbles in my gravel and thought that was strange.

The cause may be mysterious, but the solution is dead simple: do water changes, as large and as often as required to keep ammonia and nitrite within safe levels. Keep doing that until they stop going back up. That’s all there is.
Did you clean your filter or something? And what type & size of filter is it?
How long had it cycled for? How big is the tank? Do another big water change a couple more times until it is completely gone. Bubbles in gravel probably doesn’t mean anything. Also, are you sure that test was accurate? Try testing again, making sure you follow instructions 100% accurately.
