I plan on getting a betta for this tank. It’s 5 gallons. I have a filter and heater. I used filter media from an old tank so it should be cycled (API test kit coming in mail on Friday). Live plants. Decor has a hiding spot and no sharp edges. Anything I’m missing?

you can maybe try looking into plants that can be glued/attached to the driftwood because I think that’d be cool – it would give the Betta a great lil nest/hiding area.
Also, your tank is cycled when it can convert proper amount of ammonia -> 0nitrite -> under 20 nitrate in 24 hours – not just if you do a test and the current levels are ok. You gotta do the previous part too
