So basically I’m new, and the stock HOB filter pushed my betta downward every time he would get directly underneath it but was fine anywhere else. I’m not sure if that would be considered too much flow or not? Being worried, I baffled the filter with some foam, but now it seems like there’s too little flow. I don’t want to starve him of oxygen, what should I do?

There’s some things you can either 3d printing or order online for this! I actually got some of my own, they’re just little flow boxes that you suction cup to the wall of the tank under your flow and it hits the box, and flows out of it at a better pace so it still allows the gas exchange but keeps your fish/plants from getting pelted by the flow. I can dm you a link to what I got! Just make sure you check the item description for the proper size:)
