I've recently noticed some tearing on my betta's dorsal fin (first image, second image is old for reference). He's been in the tank with some corys for the past 2 weeks in a new tank. I'm not so sure what could have caused the tearing other than it getting caught on some plastic decorations? Recently had a bacterial bloom so not sure if that could have played a role. Thoughts?

More than likely the fake plants, betta fish love to rest, hide in plants and if those fake leaves are sharp there’s no telling the damages it can do long term.
Either get silk plants or real plants in there ones with big leaves so it have rest on top Anubis or a sword plant would be great!
