I purchased both a male and female beta, who are in separate tanks. They arrived yesterday and I’m wondering if I should remove Tetras that are in her tank.
I read on here that they were great for companionship . I originally thought about adding the male to their tank but decided to add her since females are less aggressive.
It’s been less than 24 hours, so she is still adjusting to the tank. I’m concerned about added stress from them. while females tend to hide more than the males, I want to get ahead of any possible issues before they snowball.

I posted the wrong picture. She has been hiding in the leaves and in the left corner under the mushroom tree. She actually came out for a minute for the pictures. 🙂
They can cause stress but I wouldn’t take them out immediately. Look for stress signs from the betta and make sure the tetras aren’t nipping at her and vise versa. Otherwise, I believe you should be good
You dont really have a lot of places to hide in there. I would add more plants maybe a floating log to give her options and places to explore while feeling safe
